Make it work

Like all successful relationships, with a brand collaboration each partner needs to be clear about what they’re contributing and what they hope to achieve.

A recent article in Campaign sets out the core pillars to a successful brand partnership – you may be able to glean some useful pointers here.

Don’t be shy about setting targets and expectations up front, or about discussing finances. Again, creative thinking can be your friend here. 

You may not have much cash to spend on promotions, but you could – for example – have a YouTube channel that has thousands of followers. Your partner brand might welcome the chance to reach those followers with its own messages, and could be happy to pay for your first co-branded print ad campaign in return.
